I'm puzzled as to why the PCV filter on the rocker cover keeps clogging with oil. when it gets fully clogged oil starts to get pushed out from under the oil cap.
when I have cleaned out the filter, under load I can hear air rushing out the filter. Is this normal? I thought the PCV was to let air into the rocker cover?
I've searched through here but haven't found anything dealing with this specific problem.
any help would be much appreciated because I'm sick of cleaning out the filter every week or so

Out...
PCV, positive crank-case ventilation
By the sound's of it you have excess blow by, so compression is either going past the ring's or valve guide's...

cheers, I'm guessing the only solution is replacing the rings?
or could I get lucky and only have to replace the valve guide gaskets

what about trying some high compression valve guides with double forged valve springs.
I'd bet that would fix the blow by

What like the one about Julie and Bob Brown both kicking out their boyfriends and getting married in the Elvis chapel of love.

the catch can seems like a handy short term solution to stop the oil going everywhere.
Might try and dodgey one up over the weekend.
