hey guys just wondering my 1.3 sierra blows a bit of smoke every now and then and i was wondering if its due for a rebuild or if i can get away with doing valve stem seals.
it puffs a big heap of smoke at the bottoms of big hills when 4bying and when you rev it above about 4 grand in neutral but when driving on the road it doesnt seem too bad it doesnt use a huge amount of oil but i dont like it smoking like it does haha.
also how hard are vlave stems to do can they be done without messing with the timing and head gasket and all that jazz or is it a major job? any help would be great

What colour is the smoke? If it's black it's more likely to be unburnt fuel, if it's more of a blue colour it will more likely be burning oil. Once you work out where your smoke is coming from, you will have a better idea of what might need fixing.
