Hey guys, at the stage of planning my camper trailer build to tow behind my Jimny. Just wondering out of these two design, what is better and who runs them on there trailers. Any feedback will be grateful thanks.

I'd go the first one, smaller bushes that are probably the same as some suspension bushes that would allow you to replace them easier if need be.

I had this same dilemma the other week.

I was thinking of getting [A] but thought, well [B] is the more popular type so it's gotta be for a reason. I found that [B] has a more cushioning effect than [A].

Although it doesn't have the vertical lift as [B] but I'm going to make a small slit with a cutting disc on the grinder to give it that little more flex in the poly block.

So I bought one from this seller, They were a bit cheaper than the one you listed.

I say go with option [b] as i have used the same one on my trailer for years and it has never let me down, will be getting the same one for me new trailer

Used item (b) for mine too. Still OK after the Patrol ran up the back of me.
Cushioning is good.

Christover has the first one and it works really well.
I think they both look good and if they are both rated higher than what you need get the cheaper one.

I think I'll go with [b]

Would you suggest to weld or bolt the hitch onto the draw bar?

Very happy with mine,
been using it a long time, trouble free,
at the time wasn't much else in my price range.
Seems to be more choices now.

I did both, because I don't trust my welding.

Welded a 10mm plate with crushtubes to the drawbar, then bolted it down with High tensile bolts.

A few months ago I did notice that they were the cheaper option and after seeing it on your setup I was keen on getting the same thing. Although times have changed and they seem to gotten slightly more expensive, either that or the poly blocks are comming down in price.

Probably due to the popularity of camper trailers over the past few years or so.

Yea I'll be welding a plate on were the hitch is going.
I'll do both just to make sure it's strong. Ordered the material today, so not long till I start the trailer

I have drawn my trailer nd planned it on a big board
All metal is been cut to size and delivered
All I have to do is tack it in place and weld

I'm rebuilding a old hard floor and will be using a polyblock.
I'm going to weld a link of chain to a bolt and tap it in the side of the plate so u can wind it in to hold the block still when trying to line it up with the tow bar.
Building this thing is like the never ending story
All I was going to do was new draw bar and link it with coils to fit the 31 's and ad the water tank and all the other usual stuff hanging off a camper and it been going on for months

Don't worry, my camper took well over a year to finish
(not that anything I own is ever really finished)

I am still modding it here and there as I go.
