Just drove across Nullabor with this

on roof and this whistling noise from the space between basket and roof. any ideas on what I could use and could be attatched to deflect wind?

lower it or move it back further, i'd be looking at remounting it lower.

the noise will be caused by wind rushing through the gap where the front roof bar & the nearest roof basket cross bar are.

my roof bars actually sit between the gaps of the cross bars on the basket.

Holy Huge picture!!!

Maybe a piece of clear perspex or the like would suffice!? I know the old type of mobile aerial (with the curls) would also make a whistle at highway speeds(only mentioned as you run the spring on your CB aerial)

I didn't get rails for mine, just made up some "legs" for the basket and they have put up with some punishment as you know. Maybe somthing to look at if your not happy with it? Though it still makes noise.

thanks for suggestions. I dont really want to lower it. was hoping made something that would look nice and do a good job.
