Okay here we go.
Adam from Wilkinsons (WA) phoned me just 15:18pm Sydney time and confirmed that 6 weeks ago Calmini went bust as he said yesterday.

I asked is that right? He said yes my dealer told me.

So there you go.[/quote]

Were you getting a calmini kit from them for a navara, so you could fit some mad 20" rims?

They sound like a great place to get 4wd suspension!

I think the way the laws and special police, I will call them "The Mod Squad", are developing in Australia it will make no difference here as unless Calamari and any other manufacturer, gets there stuff engineered for use here (Australia wide) no one will be able to use the stuff anyway (on road that is) and I can not see the market here as warranting that outlay.

Just a thought - carry on ;<}

If a company wants to sprout shit then it fair we know they might be inclined to try and make up stories to make a sale

Oh and , I can do what I want, this is well known, perhaps if you dont like it you might like to go somewhere else?

Haha, easy up there Royce- I have no qualms with you being the king of this domain & this isn't about any kind of pissing contest, merely concerned that it paints AZ in poor light by engaging any further.

All I was inferring was that rather than even getting involved beyond what you've already said, or creating a situation that further perpetuates this saga by implicating outside parties, maybe best to leave it be because the truth will come out either way.

Stockman, as above- my sentiment is one of being better to leave them sort their own shit out than get involved & risk AZ come across as a bunch of mugs. Clearly Bristlenose catfish & Calamari are big enough & ugly enough to sort it out...

Sorry to be taking a shot , but. I'd like to see people jump on comments like this the same way they started ripping into my arse.

You can get it engineered on your car yourself for approx $760. That is about the price Macquarie 4X4 quoted for me yesterday on a 3" lift. You have to take other things into consideration also, not just the suspension, to ensure your track is within the RTA rules.

Thanks Royce but it's not really like that here you know

bristlenose2008 - I was referring to what is happening in SA RIGHT NOW - and will no doubt spread Australia wide as the states work out how much they can coin in and it's also on Bob Browns agenda - I was not stating the now but the very soon

Got a call today from Adam at Wilkinsons and he has informed me that a dealer has misinformed them.

It is nice of him to have called and great for everyone to know that Calmini is around.

It's a shame the Calmini rep couldn't behave nicer with me.

Again I can't prove it to you, but I can show you the devil. If that exists there must be a God right?

Drop it, shut up, go away

It might be fun to pretend to be a secret agent or some bullshit and come up with stories and think you are getting away with it jsut because the other parties involved arent saying anything back but everyone knows, everyone will remember.

You need us more than we need you, and youve already wasted more than enough of my time, jsut remember that

Head man of Calmini is a nice guy to talk to on the phone though :)

This morning I called Calmini in California and spoken with Steve in an attempt to clear the air with Jake & team.
Turns out Steve is the guy whom founded Calmini.

As discussed with Steve I would like to apologise to Calmini for the post & I would love to retract my comments and have the entire thread deleted also.
Steve went to extraordinary lengths to ensure I understood the 3" suspension system and the dependencies of wheel alignment, sure as tyre size.

Calmini has since got to the bottom of the matter and understand that I did not fabricate things. Wilkinsons was also able to offer me a quote yesterday on the Calmini 3".

Care to release your sources?

Yeah they guy at Barnacle Bills told me, but not my local one said that his supplier had spoken to the guy that puts the lids on the little tartare sauce tubs that the boat that they use to catch the squid had the hooks from the fishing lines had been repossessed. They were still going squidding, but just with out hooks so the catch numbers have been significantly reduced compared to normal so technically they're still trading & the stock levels haven't been depleted yet. I'm not sure if the guy that told me was a bloke or a chick & it might have been in Queensland but I can't remember right now, so I'm going to call the WA head office & have them call my local Barnacle Bill to confirm that the guy that puts the lids on the tartare sauce still works their & actually said what he said.

see what i did there... :finger:
