hi guys. cracked my windscreen the other day. are you alowed to drive without one in the frame in QLD?

is it possible to put new glass in the old frame from a blank piece of laminated glass? what mm is it? i can get some 8mm double laminated for nothing. will that work?

anyone wanna sell a windscreen frame with glass in it in brisbane to me?

Pretty sure you will need to replace it with automotive safety glass...

i drove around without a windscreen surround for 4 or 5 weeks. no issues
except for stuff hitting my head when driving.

as per normal, don't drive like a dick and you should be laughing.

Folded the screen down on my series landrover for about 6 weeks once. Til I copped a stone thrown up by a passing truck to the forehead. :oops!:

didn't do it again.
