G'day all,

Am putting my mOtor back together and need to know how the belts are setup to drive the viscous hub fan. They are ribbed belts. Car is a 96 sj80.

Cheers, Carl.

It will kind only go way way if that makes sense?? Put the fan on and it should line up with the bottom inside crank pulley, which will also line up with the alternator pulley. Hope that helps. When I say bottom inside crank pulley, mine already had the capacity to have 2 belts run off it. It was already on the car, not sure if this is a standard thing or not?? Helpful for PS later on  I will get a pic today for you anyway 8)

There is only 1 belt on a Stock sj80.. It just goes around on the outer edges of all the pulleys. If you have 2 pulley sizes on the crank, The one closest to the block is the one to use. Pretty simple.

I have the double pulley too rush it's fOr factory air con.

I was pretty tired and slIghtly intoxicated when I wrote the original message... I wasn't very clear.

I sold my parts car and I have apparently left some of the wrong parts in there... Haha

I'm actually missing the waterpump pulley, radiator shroud and timing cover...

Anyway all good now, I'll have to source the parts today.

Sorry for the confusion.
