So who has done it. What is the easiest and best way to remove my control arms in my Jimny. How long does it usually take?

When i put my castor bushs in i just took one arm of at a time then stuck a screw driver in one of the hole's to get the hole's to line up....this probably won't work cus you will have to push the diff forward's and rotate it a bit to....

Zukenutter should be able to help as he has done it before...

Can I just lift the car up from the chassis and unbolt the arms and keep the diff from rotating?

Can't see why not...

Use a ratchet strap to pull/hold the axle into position. One arm at a time is easier.

Will work.....

I'm a fan of the one arm at a time, save's lot's of hassle lining up the diff & putting the drive shaft together again.

I used to jack up, stand's under chassis rail's, let diff down till shock's were just about to top out, 5then remove arm, did hundred's this way....

I've pressed the new bushes into my jb arms. So now I have to swap the arms over?

May want to have both out at the same time, or just put one bolt through on the diff side & then do the other one, or you'll be fighting the difference the whole time..

I'm not quite sure but I assume they be a bit different to the the stock ones as they are castor corrected.

So I got them fitted but now my Jim as a lean.
Was about 30mm high on passenger side..
Car was level before arms went in.
All spring are sitting level, so what happened?
There isNt a left and right control arm is there

Mine is 30mm higher on the passenger side to

I'm going to swap the front spring's over left to right and see of that makes a difference...

I'm going to swap the front spring's over left to right and see of that makes a difference...

The drivers side front jbits coil was bigger then te passenger side coil so I know I can't swap them over.
It was perfect before the arms went in.
It doesn't say any thing on the arms saying left or right.
It's quite weird I think.

are the coils seated back in properly??

i know my lh JB coil takes a while to reseat itself when it is pulled out.. was a tight fit over the lip and doesnt always sit on the bottom until the weight of the car has been on it for a little bit.

Arms should be identical. Do the JB arms have mount points for hub vacuum hoses? These mounts would be the only difference between left and right, if both arms have them, for certain they're identical.

Also the spring rate will probably have changed due to the coils not bending any more.

Okay so I went and flexed it up. Tintop is right the lh passenger coil did a half rotation and wasn't seating right so I turned it back to the wright spot.
To dark to see so I'll see tomorrow

Okay the arms are a tad longer and you can see the difference in the castor

There is no light steering any more. Handles pretty good and has no wobble.

How are finding the feel on-road with corrected caster?

Looks like they allow more clearance underneath the lowest point of the arms than my 4.5" ORA arms. Can you please measure the clearance under each arm to the ground from the lowest point, and the same from the diff's lowest point.

The arms cause a loss of ground clearance in order to clear the arm reinforcement.
