Ok my uncles mate has hit a snag while putting in a windscreen after fixing all the rust..

Basically the old windscreen was glued into my 92 Hard top sierra. i had a good rubber from a NT parts car to go in with the new windscreen. Tried to fit it but the lip on mine was 3/4 of an inch while the NT one was only 1/2 an inch, so there just wasnt enough room to fit.

The guy fitting it also said the windscreen that was taken out was bigger then the one i got from the wrecker.

I pulled the windscreen out of my uncles 94 softtop and the lip was also 1/2 an inch. anyone know whats going on with my car? i dont have a coily body on a WT chassis do i? I cant think of any other explanation.

No, but i fear i may develop these typical coliy driver symptoms if it turns out to be this and i keep driving it.

Honestly it doesnt have any tell tale signs of being a coily or having a body swap at all.. Front end Still looks WT. i.e. bonnet, grill. Has WT dash. The whole car doesnt look like its been repainted. the chassis and body are sprayed in the same colour. Still the same colour behind the dash and other hard to get places.

Coilys don't have foldable windscreens. They have a tapered front end with indicators/parkers next to headlights, a plastic front bumper, vents in side of bonnet are vertical not horizontal.

That's a few pointers there if you can't tell...

The whole front end is deff WT.. i was thinking more the tub might have been coily.. But after looking at a few.. ive noticed the rear seat belts are retractable.. i dont think the rear of mine has the bolt holes for the retractable thingo.

I said i have a hard top in my first post. the folding windscreen info doesnt apply to me, although i did not know that so it does help me in knowing that my uncles softtop windscreen is deff a wt one which is different to my windscreen lip.
