Ok as said got a 97 manual vitara which is a comp buggy running all standard wireing to engine and gearbox .

Started up after the build the other day no tacho so were dose the tacho get its pick up from.

Brown wire on the ecu (note I dont know if there is more than 1 brown wire from the ecu that do other things)

is it the stock tacho? back in the day there used to be problems with some cheaper brand tachos not being able to work with an ecu tach signal as it wasnt as strong as what you would see direct from the coil negative
