Yes, it will be fine. I run a 4PK belt on a 6PK pulley on my Sanden. As long as your brackets keep everything correctly aligned it will be ok.

You can get various different pulleys for the SD508. Mine had a double v pulley when I got it, but I changed to to the 6PK one.

I'm not fussed using the SD508 or the SD7H15, I KNOW the SD508 will definitely work, I'll be taking a small gamble on making the SD7H15 work (even though the net says it will, I haven't seen the internals of one yet)

If I can find a new pulley easily it will be a case of swaps, if not, I'll swap the units on Monday. Thinking about it, if I swap the units on Monday it will probably be just as good because that's supposed to be equivalent to the SD709 which pumps slightly more air per revolution.

I'm sure they had a few there, just have to remember which part of the shelf I was digging in!

A friend of mine works for an auto air con company, and he had a box full of different pulleys.

Ha you lucky bugger, cheers anyway, I'll just go back and change it for the SD7H15 (or if I was wrong it might be a SD5H14)

EDIT: Went back today and swapped it for the SD7H15, he wanted an extra $40 for it, so total $125, but it will be heaps easier not having to find a pulley, plus it's newer, cleaner, done less work e.t.c. As well as larger capacity.
