If I was up for new lights, and drive through the stuff that you have in your avatar there I would go for some sealed units.. 75/79? landcruiser sealed beams are pretty good... Never going to fill up with water or mud.

Otherwise Dank sells those units...

If I was to spend money on vision I would want quality not some cheap crap with some useless bling. Hence why I just bought some Hella's and not the myriad of eBay special lenses with crap reflector design.

X2 Hella or Narva lenses will work sweet and dont have that crappy reflector thing in them. I put up a thread not long ago about descent headlight for sierra's. Check that out.

They suck. Swapped them out the same night he fitted them.

I maybe wrong but i'm pretty sure these lights aren't adr approved, can get narva h4 upgrade kit bulbs & lenses for around $100 from super cheap and ay least you get some form of quality

i didn't get halo kind, but i have bought reflector kind lenses from ebay, and i prefered them over any old sealed beam that had been left in the zook when i bought it, put some nice globes in and did better than the bosses's 80 with 6 forward facing lights,

i know there's the risk of blowing em up in the wet but i figured i'd be carefull and have a spare set of globes anyway

Spare globes don't help much when your reflector is stuffed from water ingress. Sealed beams and a wiring upgrade is the best solution for offroading imo

i bought the Blu halo ones from the US ebay, shit light out put but the blue halo looked wicked, good for road use and cruzing but just alil bit of water gets inside (witch it will) the halo fucks up and then your left with shit head lights lol

Not on every light. The Hellas I bought weren't specified, that's H4 semi sealed beams, my old sealed beams I replaced had a left and right though.

But still, I'm very meticulous in adjusting my headlights so not to blind other road users. My other car is lowered and I hate being dazzled by morons and their poorly aimed bloody HID's.

US market lights ( unless otherwise marked) are for Left Hand Drive. The light is cut in a different way.



In this pic, you can see that the light kicks up to the right. In the USA, people drive on the right hand side of the road, so the light kicks up to give better kerb visability, and not blind motorists approaching on their left.

The same lights fitted to a vehicle here, will blind the shit out of oncoming motorists, because we drive on the left, with vehicles approaching on the right.

and with all the idiots out there driving with un adjusted lights, one pointing up and the other down, it would be point less to think my lights from the usa are doing any damage

but the zook has been of the road for about a yr now so its not me blinding you on the road lol

Well if you're after something decent I can recommend the Hella H4 semi sealed style reflectors. With a 50/65 watt narva bulb they're more than enough light.

ive got ipf headlights with h4 globes - awsome
