As it says above do you need to bed it in with the hubs locked in?? I'm not to sure any info on this would be great thanks guys

I think he is meaning like the rear after a while it wears it self in and works better ?

Thats what I meant to say silly day today haha not much wheeling till the weekend so I might change the oil half way through the trip

I went 4wding on mine with new chromo axles and CV's and big tyres then changed the oil after, haven't had a drama yet.

It shouldn't need to be worn in. If you want drive it with the hubs locked in on your way to work. That will get it to ratchet and get the oil to flow through it. Just take it easy as it will change the way the car handles. Do this then swap the oil.

Either that or just leave it and swap the oil when ya get back from the trip.

Oil change is just to make sure there is no foreign matter floating around in the diff.

Ahh ok then I might do a freeway run with the hubs locked and change oil after that thanks for that guys specially built4thtashing for putting it together

My front lockers a Spartan.
It definately works smoother now, than when it first got fitted.
I lock front hubs once a month, keeps the system lubricated.

Doing a freeway run is kind of pointless. As you are mostly going straight. Be great for cooking cv grease though.

You'd be better off doing laps at the local shopping centre carpark.

Locker worked a treat heard some clicking not sure if it's a cv or it ratcheting steering is a little stiffer I love that I went locker in the front thanks built4thrashing

The clicking is the lockright ratcheting when it has high traction. Its all good.
