Yes, I tried them out.

I believe I fitted the sealing boot at the rear of the lights correctly, but both lights ended up getting water inside them within several weeks of owning them. One was 1/4 full of water and the reflector instantly rusted away to the waterline, and the other was just filled with constant moisture.

The lights were fitted with an aftermarket HID kit, and the beam pattern was horrendous. The lights were aimed right down so as to not dazzle any oncoming traffic and were plenty bright but light quality wise I'd definitely have been better off with a good quality Halogen upgrade kit. The HID Kit died shortly after (ignitors packed it in).

The halos are not particularly bright. They're okay in low light, but they're ultimately made up of 4 5mm LEDs and don't produce even illumination. The hole for the halo power cable was poorly sealed when I received the lights and needed additional sealant, but the water that killed them came in around globes.

The tabs on the support rings also didn't line up with the notches on the light, and some of the tabs had to be inverted and moved to properly secure the light to the ring.

SO! Everything bad. Nothing good. Bought a Narva 7" H4 Halogen upgrade kit at SuperCheap for $120ish and haven't looked back. Plenty of quality light, fits the tabs perfectly and seal like they should.

That "horrendous" beam pattern is common with HID retrofits - you're starting with lamp optics designed for a different light source - and even if you do take the trouble to position the globes so the light source is positioned correctly, there's no way to compensate for the difference in shape and size of the source.

A properly designed HID lamp will give you the same sharp horizontal cut off and upward "throw" on the left (for RHD vehicles), that you see with halogen lamps, just whiter & brighter.

I had them on my Sierra with HIDs and was very happy with them.
