This is common when mud gets into clutch. Carry a few 2l bottles of water and after going through mud and the clutch doesn't work remove the timing plug near bellhousing, start engine and squirt water at clutch while someone else pumps the pedal. 3 of us had to do this at Glasshouse after a boghole.
