Just wondering if an RingR or similar product exists for the M series engines?
I gather in time the stock 1.3 box wont be enough for the M16 and M18a engines.
The stock boxes are exxy enough now second hand.

The stock box will be fine - just don't shock load the gear box like i did

What' size tyre's are you running? The few gear boxes i have heard of blowing up, all seem to be on jimny's with tyre's with 31's and bigger....

and like I did too :( - Now got an M18a with M16a non vvt head and dont want a weak box exxy box
that is no where near as strong as a vitara or like my modded trimatic in my old sierra with g16b.

Just surprised a kit or adaptor is not available considering the boxes are not as strong as a vitara
and not as available hence their high prices.

Toyota boxes are getting thin as well bar the chinese copies but the S-10 Chevy has a WC t5
short super strong and only 35kg (same dimensions and weight as W series toyota)
All the hot rod peeps use them and avail for 200usd or just change rear to suit local WC t5 borgys

No adaptors unfortunately.

I do agree with you about them being weak. They certainly were not designed for the M18!

Hi datso, why are you surprised that there is no kit to mate an M18 Suzuki engine to a W series Toyota gearbox, it is not as of it is a common conversion.
