Hey all I've been flicking through the formn trying to sus out what suspension I wanna get. I'm pretty settled on the OME 40mm lifter springs with the hard options (constant 100kg rear, and the heavier fronts) with 2 inch shackles
I was thinkin of getting the whole kit from OME and doin everythin however I've noticed that a few people have the Gabriel shocks and seem to like them. With these shock I've read that for the front (commodore rear shocks) that the bump stops have to be made longer, is this correct? And if so is anythin needed for the rear (hiace fronts) and how do u lengthen the bump stops?
Does any1 have te same set up if so how is it both off road and as a daily drive. I'm not after a super soft daily drive I was just wondering how she goes?

Extending the Front bumpstops in the front is simple. Make up a plate or rhs to space the bump away from the bracket with also using longer bolts.

The rears are abit tricky, Not many people need to extend the rears. Because the bump is on the diff there no real way to extend it. Some people do it by welding on a metal spacer on the chassis like the fronts. Has to be as wide as the chassis pad and quite strong, as i have seen a few chassis pads bent in.

Rear Commodore shocks work in the Front, vn-vs wagons. pin to eye. Gives a softer ride. You will want this.
Rear Hiace/hilux2wd/similar will work for the rears. eye to eye.

Both are used because they work, cheap and easy to find if need to be replaced.

I've heard OME are great but can't comment on OME as i went from stock, to kingsprings, to custom mix, to King coilovers

Cheers man sounds easy enough to extend the stops also does any 1 know if these shocks will work with the EFS 65mm lifted springs? I've read with the 40mm OME these is still a bit of travel?
Does any1 have the EFS 65mm springs? R they any good? It's wat the suzistore in midland has?

The shocks will be fine for most leaf lifts.

Are you looking only into lift kits only or you after something better/custom?depends on mechanical ability. Depends also what you drive

Well she's my daily drive so I dot wanna go too stupid like SPOA n stuff but I wanted a decent lift that can fit my 31inch big hors comfortably and take me off road.
For day to day I've got some stock wheels with highway tyres but like I said for the weekend I wanna b able to go have some fun.
I'm lookin to change because the springs on the drivers side have sagged and I just wanted to know what would b the best versatile spring which will last

OME should be fine. Might need to adjust your bumps for 31 big hors. They might scrub out while flexxing, which may hurt them. Or. BFH

30mm bumps top spacing will sort the shocks and tyres.

Then I just gotta order them in, I'm gunna do the fitment my self seeing as I've never done anythin like that before so should b interesting to c how I go haha

Thats what i ran for ages. Still need to hammer the seams smooth, but it proved to be a very good setup.
