Hi all new to the forum, I have a 92 Swb Vit and just purchased a 94 LWB, just was wondering what was the exact differences in the suspension was as the shorty was on 30s with a 2in lift, 30s already on but also wanted to swap sus over aswell, is this possible? Also way off this topic but has anyone turboed a g16b as also considering this aswell, weak points?

No difference in the suspension, swap away. Only thing is the extra weight over the rear of the LWB might make it sit a little lower/ride a little different.
Invest in a flame suit befor asking about boosting a Vit... it has been done, to varying degrees of success, but the consensus seems to be that's it's more pain than gain.

It won't sit quite so high as the SWB because the LWB springs are a little longer and stiffer than the original SWB springs.

Cheers for that Darkhorse and Rhinoman, will swap it over then as was gonna lift later anyway, always did notice that rear end was noticeably higher than front so on LWB might make it even to the front.
Wasn't gonna go spastic just want a bit more grunt, was thinking t25 turb off a ca18, ca18 sort of size injectors(400cc tops) runnin 8psi and a front mount with a haltech computer, plenty other things I have planned but will take time, wanna make it a tough tourer/ dune cruiser.

Oops! You dont sound too confident Darkhorse, thinking now I should stick to extractors and zorst, what's your opinion on this one then, wanted to make my own snorkel out of stainless steel pipe, what do reckon on bypassing airbox and goin straight out the guard and having a k&n on the top of it, ultimate cold air induction or shite idea? Cheers for your help.

Haha - don't let me put you off, I haven't done any real research into it, just going on what I've heard from people who's opinions I trust. Like I said - it has been done, and I would genuinely be interested to see how you go. I think it's particularly promising that you are talking some sensible numbers, low boost, smallish injectors etc.
The best bang for buck to get a bit more grunt is to open up the intake and exhaust, so yeah, I'd start there (in fact I did a couple of years ago!) 2" zorst with a high-flow cat works well for the 1.6s. Your snorkel concept is different - check legality of external pods, or pods at all for that matter. Also depends what you are intending to use the car for - if it's street only then not such an issue, but in the bush external filters can easily be damaged and then you're in for a world of pain. The LWB is also EFI, so you'd have to sort something out for the sensors and plumbing associated with that. Easier to just go out of the factory box, but again, don't let me discourage you from getting creative!

My idea was to mod the alloy pipe off the throttle body so it goes straight (no 45 bend toward airbox as it does) af meter will end up near strut top, reroute wiring to suit, then run piping straight off airflow meter out the guard then up pillar like normal but instead of a snorkel top it will have a k&n pod style filter, not big wank style one just nice compact and conical shaped style, could always just take a spare on proper bush bashin trips, if catch it on something and well and truly root it then slap another on, will take up no room whatsoever in car.
Quickly back to turbo ideas, ive played with turbo cars for a long long time now and know what works and am a realist not a noob who has nice shiny dyno sheet readout with large wanky number on it! Wont be that expensive as have the turbo have a suitable cooler have larger fuel pump to suit and computer aswell, so its just time fabbin up shit and wiring and gettin it tuned. But as far as g16b is more an unknown to me that is why i asked for others opinions on this site as ive not much expirience or a lot of knowledge on this engines weaknesses, with your mentioned extractors and zorst and other mods do you know what the rwkw was? Cheers again for your input.
