hi guys picked up an 89 sierra last week and im having truoble with the gearbox. being an 89 model would this of came out 5sp or 4sp because i cant seem to find 5th gear. the gearstick when in 1st 2nd 3rd or 4th moves side to side like its in nuetral and reverse is weird. it doesnt grind into reverse it just feels real tight. any ideas? im thinking maybe the bush at the botom of the gearstick?

Most likely it is the bush. Pull the stick out and have a looksee.

There is no such thing as a 1.3L 4sp.
