just buy a jimny... they have that great sierra ride and i always look forward to drive mine!!! even if its to somthing i hate like paying bills or gf shopping lol

Our 2006 VVT manual is great to drive. It will do 110 along the freeway and only up hills it may need 4th gear. Longest drive i did was to stockton and i was fine at the end... My old 2010 work Mazda 3 after an hour and a half I was starting to feel sore.

Compared to my old 91 sierra the Jimny is like a roll royce. Smashes it on power, comfort and fuel economy. I love the JImny, but the VVT is the goer...

BTW if you go the Subaru, you will need to get a W class licence. Not sure about anyone else, but most Subaru drivers appear to be the biggest wankers on the road. They even top of BMW...

I have an 04'Outback. Outhandles anything i've driven. I drive through mountain 's' bends every day.

I looked into getting a 'Foz', But most were older and have high kms for same price as mine. Also read a few problems with the motors, with less power than the wrx, with same motor..

Tyres are dear as mine are 17's. AND i bet every spare part i need is going to be dearer in its later stages of life

My life is also heading towards 'family' though.. So needed something bigish

Jims are fun for a daily, Zippy like the sierra's. But they are no highway car like the scooby

To be honest, a Jim is a fancy Sierra, short bouncy and easy to park.

Not a highway cruiser, my misses 2002 AU eats up the Km's so comfortably compared.

But at the end of the day, if all your doing is driving on sealed road, buy a car not a 4x4.

My Ksev is on it's bump stops and is more enjoyable to drive as a DD. Mainly cause it's a sick low low that is kinda loud haha
