I just installed 4.9's and all new bearings into a tcase i bought. Don't know what i did wrong but its making a 'tick, tick, tick' noise? It does have oil lol The noise only happens on acceleration, just coasting / going down gears no noise. Sounds like its coming from the front of the car, if i put tcase into Neutral and 5th gear and accelerate no noise. Here is a movie of it.

It sounds like the jackshaft or a tailshaft is rubbing on something or vice versa. It's only doing it under acceleration because of the load twisting the transfer mounts e.t.c. just enough to make it touch.
Does it do it on overrun or just acceleration, it doesn't sound like a gears problem otherwise it would be there the whole time.
Check for loose wires and cable ties and spots that may be rubbed e.t.c. I know the way mine is setup (transfer boot flipped) I had to pull the boot up high out of the way of the shaft, horrible horrible noise that made!

Hah, good to see I was on the money for once!
You can just tap the dust covers back onto the flange with a hammer, take it easy though.
