Hi guys.
I'm not sure if Jimny Sierra was updated in AU, but today European Jimny has been updated.
Now it has a new front bumber, new hood and front gril. Looks more like JB23

hmm looks like they are giving the 1.3's a scoop now too.
maybe so they can have one bonnet design across the range? (both 1.3 and 0.6)
no other changes though by the looks besides the front end

I wish suzuki would bring these to oz

including the 4wd model

The grill looks like it could be fixed to the bumper. That bonnet looks awesome. I want one!

Its probably for the diesal model..

We will never get new Jimnys. No stability control. Australian Design Rules. So unfortunatly they wont import safer Jap cars, but they import Chinas pos new cars.

No mate, that's not what I'm seeing. The wings are taller. Looks to me like the grill is the same height, so I suspect the front cross members are the same, they just put taller wings and a deeper bonnet and redeisgned grill and bumper. wings bonnet grill bumper Probably all interchangeable with the current model.
It's good news though. I like it, and there's lots of life in the old jimny yet.

Nah, I want the Euro spec 1.5 Turbo diesel with the Fiat Engine. And if it doesn't already have an intercooler I'd fit one under that bonnet scoop. And the second thing I'd do is remap it with a rexxer or superchips so it pumps out a few more bhp with a bit more boost.

I'd also appreciate if they could supply australian models with the Leather interior too common in europe.

It's weird that most australian supplied cars tend to be offered in a higher spec (and higher price) then euro supplied models, and yet the Jimny comes in a lower spec. I mean mine is a 2008 and it hasn't even got ABS. thats practically unheard of in modern cars.

Not many cars come with scoops unless they are intercooled.

This of course doesnt apply for the kia rio's at one stage

Budget.

Just like how most manufacturers had moved to EFI between '85 and '90, but sierras were sold here with stinking carbies until 1998.

Cheap cars with all the fruit are no longer cheap. I doubt they would sell many Jimnys once they optioned them with TD motor, leather interior, cruise, HID, traction/ ESP, climate control and all the other cool stuff available in overseas markets, cos they would be over $30K plus onroads.

Bonnet scoop on a petrol Jimny, gotta be a fake.

I like the new bonnet and grill but from the side the front end looks a bit bulky.

Both the petrol and diesel Vitaras we got between 1999 and 2003 had scoops but no intercoolers.
