I've always thought there'd be a spot where the idle speed would be fast enough and max revs still be ok. Never known the speed rating of a rotor though to be honest.
There well could be and I reckon on a Falcon alternator at least that revs a bit less and has a heaps bigger crank pulley its probably possible to run a smaller pulley on the alternator to help with low speed load, would be interesting to see how much.
