Does anyone know if the gearbox behind a Jimny M13a engine fit behind a Sierra G13a engine?

No. The bellhousing pattern is different, and the shifter mechanism is different. The Jimny shifter would come up roughly where the sierra transfer shifter is.

What are you trying to achieve? Are you trying to put a newer/better condition manual in to your sierra, or something else?
