My body lifts in but I think something's wrong everything lines up and but I just went for a drive and after 15 kms the clutch makes a wearing noise when its pushed in what should I do

got the rubber boots back on & all sealed up?

not the sticks hitting the edge of the holes in the trans tunnel & vibrating? eg clutch in & in 2nd, 4th, reverse.

No its not :/ its in first second and almost gone in third :/ its while the clutch is in or on its way out

is that a no to shifter boots or hitting the tunnel?

the factory shifter boots/seals do a great deal in keeping the noise out.

That's with a boot and doesn't look to be hitting sounds internal but like started at a weird time like done 10 kms fine then stoped started it again and it was there I'm like wtf

could just be a noisy release bearing & the noise is transmitting more after the BL... what have you done with the boots?

also check you clutch adjustment

Will see what happens the more I look and the more I google sounds like maybe thrust bearing and flywheel bearing plus clutch plate. Thanks Atari guess will see what happends I use to have like a little whine in it but since the lift its way worse may be a trip to mechanics

i'd say it's sounding louder cause it's not sealed up as well as the stock boots after the lift.

not sure if it's been mentioned, but you'll need a 24mm socket for the female bodylift bolts.

read the instructions, they're pretty good + with what everyone has said here you'll piss it in... i know there is a girl on here fitted one of greg's vitara bodylift kits, without instructions!

Hows everyone modified there gear sticks or managed to make there boots work I'm not happy with mine

i extended my transfer lever & it appears exactly as it left the factory.... no ghetto squashed/inverted boots in my wagon & the swb i just bent the gear lever

i dont recommend heating it as it's rubber filled to stop vibration.

you'll need to remove the sticks to bend them...

my gear lever was bent in a vice with a length of pipe for leverage, you can sort of see the shape of it in this pic


this is the extension that's welded to the transfer lever with the boot squashed down to see the extension

U post to many helpful things lol : P haha I saw u posted it after I posted mine : D I'm gonna go ahead with the trans one : D is the gear leave easily removed from the socket

take the console n shit out, remove the boot clamp, slide the boot up, push down & turn the centre retainer it should pop up & then you can remove the shifter.

Then just reverse that to put it in again, where u then able to run the stock boot

in the first pic i posted you can see the back of the shifter console & you can see the cut down section of the factory boot. the SAAS leather boot has an elastic base that fits over the bottom "fold" of the cut down factory boot so it locates on the console as per normal. also take note of the extra bits floating around in that pic
