Where can I get a set of nice aftermarket headlights for my Jimny? Besides Aladdin and the other import sites that only let u buy in bulk?

I was told hid kits don't suit some head light types, ie plastic rather than glass,
but like any other internet facts I have no idea.
But definately would like a better low beam on me Vitara.
So will be considering this in the future,
along with a better battery, alternator and wiring.

Dunno weather it's my past of mid 80's car, but I find my jimny headlights really good. I only bought spotlights for the extra length.

Let us know if you find a good upgrade tho

just replace your bulbs... i run phillips +80 in my sierra lights with stock wiring and theyre amazingly bright and have a slight blue tinge (cool white) - i didnt like the cool white at first but now i'm used to it yellow lights look way more dull.

my jimny, being my first new car, i find the lights to be fine, just want a set of spotties for the distance and flood when out in the bush.

Do a loom upgarde & buy good kwality globes.

Loom upgrade first. You'll be amazed at the improvement in light output, then consider uprated globes.

I've seen enough HID conversions blasting light all over the place (i.e into oncoming traffic) to not like the idea at all. When used in modern plastic headlights like a Jimny they seem particularly bad.

PS whilst I'm not a great fan of those Japanese aftermarket lights, the idea of separating the low and high beam globes is a good idea I think - you could legitimately run a HID in the high beam side and leave a halogen globe in the low bean side, and not have issues with legality, although I have no idea if those lights themselves are legal at all - I'd assume not.

as long as they are E marked appropriatly for australia they they would be legal. if they arent, no one would even be able to tell. i doubt even transport department would notice.

as for HID in them i dont know about other states but in QLD they would still require self leveling and washers to be legal.
