Hi there I have a Sierra with a 1.3 transfer with 6.5 gears and twin sticks. Out of the blue the transfer jumped out of high range one day and now it won't hold high range. It works in low range fine. It keeps jumping out of high range and grinds. The case or sticks are not touching the body at all. Any thoughts or suggestions.
If your bushes, and everything else are fine, try checking the spring tension on the ball bearings that hold the case in gear. Over 20years of use it's possible that they have lost a bit of force and make it easy to slip out.
The other option is your selector is worn and needs to be replaced.

I have twin sticks so there is no bush fitted. I had checked the springs when I did the twin stick conversion. It started happening when I had the old single stick fitted. I might just get some new springs and try that. Where can I get them from? Cheers
