Hey guys what are your thoughts on the rocky road coil conversion.

I've done a bit of reading and some people in the states said that they had links fail and it was a pretty ordinary kit. Others said it was great. Trail toughs trail slayer kit looks the goods. Pretty expensive though.

I've heard lot's of people say that the quality of fabrication of the Rocky road kit is terrible. It's been discussed a few times on here before, I believe the consensus was that it was a poorly designed kit.

When i was a suzuki noob, they looked like a good option.
But looking at it now, they are a bit rough and high. A search on suzuki forums will give you other answers, Pirate4x4, zukicrawlers etc.

The radius type arms would stuff the small bushes. The long slip shafts would be good too but design a system right, you won't need that much slip at all. Mine probably uses 50mm slip, most stock shafts give more than that.

Another thing is the delivery times.. Many reports of them taking too long and not responding. They should sponsor here.


I'd say stick with leaves and spend some time learning about mounts, links, dimensions to look at coiling later on mixing local common parts

Yeah I think I might stay away from it then. Ive got 65mm efs springs but its just not enough flex. Ive dropped leave and have bruces soft bushings but its just not that flexy. Yeah I can fabricate im an aprentice boiler maker

if you haven't got lockers then save up and get some. Flex isn't everything in a zook.

I have dropped one out of each. I think I might go rear up front.. Have you found it helps witg drivers side lean ?

It generally makes it worse due to the reduction in spring rate. Normally we run an extra leaf on the drivers side to level the car.

I still wanna have some nice flex. It wont let me open the tread about longer leaves. what are some long leave I can run when I swap these leaves out and do a rear up front
