Hi everyone,
i have a friend looking at a 2006 GV 1.6L but he wants to do beach work and mostly freeway, i have had a look but is it true that the 1.6L does NOT have low range?? would that Year and 1.6L be fine for beach and highway driving?? im not sure on this topic.
The only thing is he wants a small 4x4 with hi and low range but 2000 onwards.
i know it seems like he has a small buying market but im giving it ago.
any feedback would be great.
Cheers Everyone

Hmmm, is the 2006+ model have low range? Or does all 1.6L have no low range? What about the 2L 4Cyl?
In regards to a jimny how do you rekon it would manage 200Km from Sydney to Newcastle with such a small motor every month or so?

i know when they went to the 2.4l SWB NGV it has low range, it was just the early 1.6 SWB NGV's that didn't have low range.

Jimny would eat that distance up

Like Atari said, look at the earlier model with a 2l in it, meets all his requirements and is a better car

Hey guys,
I've found a 2004 GV SQ420 S4 JLX with 125xxx Kms 2Dr
This is everything he's looking at plus its tge 4cyl 2L so the hwy will be no trouble.
Does anyone have any issues or heard of any problems in regards to this model??
Dealer is asking $11890 but in think I could work it to $11000 with 3Yr warranty.
Sound good??
Regards
Shane

Waaaaaaaay too pricey for mine.

Yes it's low Ks, but it's also already an eight year old car. It would want to be spotless with a bunch of extras for that money.

Dealer warranties aren't worth the grease in the guys hair, so I wouldn't factor that into the price.
