Hi Guys,
Only just joined the forum on advice from my mate and its been really helpful so far so hoping you can help with my next step in upgrading my sierra.

At this stage I have done the 1.6 conversion to my 93 tintop sierra, put in a custom exhaust, new rancho shocks and leaf springs which gave me a 2" lift.

My next step will be the wheels and tyres (transfer case etc to follow) but I am really at a loss at which setup to go for! To give you a better idea of what I am after, my sierra is my daily drive so does a bit of driving on road, would like to be fairly capable on runs like the powerlines (for the WA guys) and I will do a fair amount of driving on sand (fishing, camping etc)

I have had some advice from my friend Aron (Alien) that 225/75/r16's on the 16x6 vitara rims are a nice setup but is there a more limited choice on tyres if I go for this?? I have also had some trouble finding the correct rim size as most people seem to run on 15's with an offset.

Advice please!!

First, welcome and congratulations on your excellent post.

Consider legality. 215 75 15s are as big as you can legally go. But meh.
Alien is probably right. But it might be easier to stick with 15x7s and 30x9.5 or 31s suitably geared.
I highly recommend RUF and power steering. Probably a locker or two for what ive seen of the powerlines would be nice.

the vitara 16x6.5" rims are a poor choice for a sierra & pretty much any other suzuki as they're a +25 offset so you'll be loosing wheel track/stability... did he tell you to do a SPOA conversion too?

a 235/75r15 on the stock rims will be fine.

Get them cheap n get them flipped? 235 /85 / 16s? most prob measure the same as a 32/33 9.5

no can do, due to the design of the rims.

If it's a daily drive with some sand chucked in and the WA powerlines it seems huge tires are not really necessary. A simple setup of 15x7 rims with -13offset and 235/75's would work well. Then chuck in a set of 4:1 tcase gears and you have quite a capable rig if you know how to drive it.
