Scored a boat trailer, needs some work but totally rust free.
Also I've ordered some Zuke hubs for the work trailer so I can make use of the 215/75 MTs I had sitting around in the workshop. Test fitting in the background.

seeing you can't tow them all at once, do they all run the same rego plate?

at the moment I have;
1. camper trailer (has rego)
2. Work 6x4 (has rego)
3. Borrowed boat trailer (owner has rego)
4. New boat trailer (unreg at the moment but will get its own rego)

Friggin trailer hell here I need a shed desperately.

I had a thought once about sharing rego, then a close friend told me a horror story about lack of insurance when a mate of his got found out after hitting a pedestrian, ever since I just pay the rego.

Hey zukenutter that spare tyre cover looks sweet.

My catamaran trailer is 5.7 long by 2.4 wide. PLus I have a 6x4 cage trailer and both my cars are twice the size of a zuke... Also have 2 Honda XLV750R motorbikes I now need to find room for.

And unless I build it over the pool, no room for a 6x6 shed

So i'm bringing all my shit to your place when you get a 6x6 shed, ok?

I have 5 as new jimny rims with fresh roadies which would make ideal donors for trailers (as I no longer have a zuke ). Perhaps as a dowry

I fitted an elcheapo ebay wireless reverse camera to my trailer.
Wasn't successful at first, needed to move the transmitter and receiver closer together.
Not sure if it is a distance thing, or the amount of metal in the way of signal.

So if doing similar consider quality of purchase,
wether it has longer cables or extension cables, strength of signal
and positioning of antennas.

Happy with it now, was able to get extension cables and connectors.
Only moved receiver to front of trailer and works ok mostly now.
Will move receiver to rear of car next week, if needed.

I would not get an IR camera next time.
Its a washed out look in daylight, my Vits reverse cam has a great clear picture.
Will replace with a normal cam one day, and some better lights on trailer

Its been in my build thread for a while but heres my pickle



Its now got the spare mounted on the back and i reinforced the lid and repainted it.
Thing left to do are- bumper, roof racks, battery and led interior light, motorbike rack on the front for my brother and maybe a ebay treg hitch later

I've said it before, That pickle is a thing of beauty.
How much did it end up weighing? Costing? etc?

Haven't weight it yet coz im still adding to it so ill weigh it when its done and change the rego weight if i need to.
Cost i estimate 600-700 but i already had wheels and tires and the boss donated a bit of steel (he just doesn't know it) but the biggest thing was the time thats in it.
Like everything, you look at it and think 'cut a car in half and put a panel on the front' but everything is so time consuming to get it right.
First trip out everyone thought it was pretty cool which made it worth it but i wouldn't do it again.

Trailer looks awesome Alex, well done. Thanks for sharing it here, I don't get a chance to keep up with everything in the Rigs section. I'll have to go look at the build now



I finally have wheels on the boat trailer. swapped the springs between the work trailer and boat trailer which worked out perfectly.
Now a bit of wiring, new hitch and some mudguard extensions, then off to Qld Transport.




Swapping the springs has brought the axle on the work trailer forward to where it should have been in the first place. Also lifted the trailer a bit but once it's had some weight in it I'm sure it'll come back down.
