I have come close numerous times, but never full roll. That's in a modded sierra. Would never take a new jimny in these places. (no grip to drive further here) It that the bottom of daniels point rd yep, Dans lane. And she still felt solid there, if i had grip, she would of driven

get in car and find a side angle that gradually gets steeper. drive along it until u shit ur pants. take note how far you got reverse off slope and change ur pants.
atleast thats what i would do if i was worried about my car or my wellbeing... but im not...

atleast thats what i would do if i was worried about my car or my wellbeing... but im not... you're actually better off ramping it up (flexing), then get out and give it a shake side to side... inside the car it can feel terrible, but once you go outside and wobble it and realise its not going anywhere you will get used to the feeling a bit more and it won't worry you so much =)

Here is a u-tube vid of climb capability. Notice the information at the beginning in Japanese, but shows the angle of the ramp at 45 degrees. I am more than happy with that (and I will never get anywhere near this) but it shows how this machine can in fact haul itself up a 45 degree incline, ie; it is mechanically capable of doing so. Of course it has perfect traction and no slip, things which will define how this can be used in "the field". So, one question answered. 45 degrees. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DCAwqvKQZ0

Plus.. I don't know what the COG is. (being the key.) Without the value of "A" being the COG, it cannot be calculated. If I knew what it was I could have worked it all out and determined the angles. The question has been sent to the factory by the dealer and awaits a response.

i got my slant on this morning... macdaddy got some pics which he'll post later. drove it onto a huge angle and felt perfectly safe and not tippy at all... i don't know if i should be worried or not though, because i was totally unphased and unafraid at the time, and i know its once you get that going on that you inevitably push too far =) lol

I came up with a different slant angle limitation. I got on a pretty decent angle in the LJ and all the fuel leaked out of the filler. (cap doesn't seal) I walked back up to the house and got a fuel tank of a little industrial engine and cable tied it to the top of the engine and drove out.

He did exactly that, except when he shook it it fell on its side.

Dear "Ace"
I thankyou for your [obviously] carefully considered opinion of me, despite not knowing anything about me. However, if I WERE your "friend" I doubt you would make such an observation let alone such a public statement, so therefore it is clear I am NOT your friend and you are in error in stating that.
As to your sycophant attitude to a total stranger who is curious about such technical matters it is also furthermore clear that you somehow believe you are the right hand of God or in your particular case perhaps, Allah, thereby placing yourself into some ego-centric belief that you have no need to be understanding, tolerant, patient or just plain polite.
Perhaps it is my quest for knowledge for asking what appears to be such a simple question which no-one has really been able to answer adequately or particularly politely that makes you believe you are somehow superior to others who may have less experience than you.
I was hoping for at least a half-intelligent discussion considering this forum is for people who purport to have an interest in technical aspects of what I thought was a common interest group. Apparently not. I have the wrong interest group - this is obviously a discussion forum for people like yourself to insult others, denigrate their position and experience and pump yourself up on your startlingly limited command of the english language on mistaken self-worth that clearly approaches that of the common house cockroach.
As I am only 55 years old and as you refer to me as some kid that plays Doom on my PC one might surmise then that you are about 200 years old. I congratulate you on your achievement in that regard and it concurs with your attitude and behaviour as noted previously. It would seem also that you are some form of recalcitrant recidivist, having so much experience and wisdom to be able to dish out insults so freely and easily.
As much as I have opposed the Federal Government's addendum to the Discrimination Act it now occurs to me that perhaps, just perhaps, you are a case in point of why people should be able to litigate on a matter of insult and with that in mind perhaps, just perhaps, I should review my standing on the matter and embrace it wholeheartedly.

You have no answers that you are happy with because there aren't any. There are too many variables to come up with a single number, especially one that would be useful in reality.

If you want a 1/2 intelligent convo, you're looking in the wrong place. You may be better off talking to yourself.
For what its worth, maximum climb angle will be more than maximum descending angle.
Sierra wise descending beyond 50 degrees in my SWB sierra, the rear wheels get really light, and it starts to teeter. If I was a betting man, I would expect the CoG of my sierra to lay on an imaginary line between where both of the lower door hinges bolt onto the front clip, and it would be pretty close the edge of the trans tunnel/drivers left shin. My Sierra would probably be at its climbing limit a little over 60 degrees.

Only if you enjoy repetitive forward and backward motions of the head against solid, immovable objects. On the topic at hand, I would suggest that Suzuki have omitted the information you seek for legal reasons, as stating a finite number for such a dynamic condition may land them in hot water should someone feel the need to litigate. As others have said, the slant angle is dependent on so many variables, that even a ball park figure could be wrong under certain conditions. I suggest you find a controlled environment to test your level of comfort/ bravery whilst in the pilot seat of your jimny, and mark that on your Inclinometer/ angle guage for future reference.

Sorry to say but you really are in the wrong place if you want to talk facts and figures.
here at AZ we deal with suzukis. The differences in tollerance in measuments of the chassis alone would frighten you if you looked close enough.
however if you want a difinitive numerical answer you should know as every one does that the answer is 42
