Hi All
OK, I want to put rear disks on my LJ80 before it goes back together. So in all the existing rear disc brake threads people will mention a brake proportioning valve to correct proportioning. But my question is, who can I buy one from in Australia? And if someone can suggest a local place in SEQ that would be even better.
Thanks.

There's a race car bits shop in Belar St Yamanto.

I think you'll find that mention of requiring a rear proportioning valve is only needed when running Sierra calipers front AND rear. If you use Pintara or Galant calipers on the back, the piston bore is smaller and in virtually the correct ratio to the Sierra fronts that a proportioning valve is not necessary.
I have Pintara calipers on the rear of the Sierra and the fronts still lock up first, but it is possible to lock all 4 with a hard foot.

Agree, my 1.0 LWB Sierra had rear Pintara discs, and no prop valve was needed. Slightly different brake system on 1.3's though.

Yep I'd prefer the Sierra calipers all round. More parts commonality, and I have no need or want for a rear axle handbrake assembly.

I had a mate who turned down the rear Sierra discs, that solved his bias issues.
Some also us less efficient brake pads on the rear, with good ones up front.

Cheers guys!
Allot of the available ones from my resultant searching of whats been suggested all have imperial inlets and outlets (3/16", and NPT fitting etc). Suzuki threads are M10x1.0, so are adaptor fittings typically used, or are people getting new hard line made to suit the different fittings?

The one I got has npt threads but came with adaptors to tube flare fittings, imperial though. So all you need is a couple of imperial flare nuts and you can cut it into the stock line along the chassis.

Considering how much of a nightmare I am currently having trying to find useful adapters online I think this might have to be the way to go. At least the new flare nuts should be cheap as from the local brake shop.
