I have a 94 Sierra that is getting a bit tired and I'm thinking of rebuilding
The motor. I'm tossing up whether to completly rebuild the 1.3 or just re -ring
It and sell it and buy a Jimny.
Thoughts?

mate I've been in almost every type of zook for atleast a little drive and none bar an independent GV are as comfy as my new jimny, I picked up a 2011 grey one with only 7800km on it for $15500, with a few mods :) I find the jimny to drive a hell of a lot smoother than the 96 sierra my ex had, both are coily's, it's also kinda nice to have things like power steering, power windows and airbags. I know if I could have found a mint condition sierra I would still choose the jimny. and you can't find a mint sierra :P

It is nice to have all the Mod cons if your using it as a daily, but I personally used to cringe taking my 3 year old Jimny off road, especially mud, cos i hated the clean up.

Why not drive a Jim and see if you like it/can justify the changeover price?

Sell it and get the jimny. If a new engine or engine rebuild puts second thoughts in your mind about keeping the sierra you'd be better off with a newer car.
