Ok so i have installed my clutch.. put everything except the exhaust back on.. (Btw its on axel stands at the moment still too..)
I turned the car on.. in neutral, car turns on etc..
I put it into first gear then let the clutch out.. The car should stall right? Well mine didnt?
I did notice a drop in the amount of rev's though.. what do you think would be the problem?

i dont understand, if it on axle stands why would you expect it to stall instead of turning the wheels?

Did you adjust the clutch? Cable might be too tight and it could be still partially engaged and slipping. But yeah the car won't stall if the wheels aren't on the ground

it should stall if you have the hand brake on & if it works properly... other than that, i see no problem

Put the wheels back on take the required tools to adjust your clutch and start driving. Drive down the road. You should be able to freely select all gears. Clutch would want to be letting go a third of the travel off the floor.

Also why did u take the exhust off to do clutch ?

Took the mid section out cause i needed to be able to get the gearbox out.. cheers guys, ill double check it tomorrow, as far as i can remember my wheels werent turning when i put it in gear..

how did it drive before if the wheels didn't move when in gear?

It did not drive before i put the new clutch in, the clutch one side was completedly burnt off, "I could put it in to gear" as in put the move the gear stick into gear, this however didnt mean i was able to drive for some reason. I had to get it towed back from the bush, where now i have replaced the clutch

How did you ascertain the clutch as the problem in the first place?

I could smell clutch, could see clutch fiber hanging out, so i see that i need a new one.. I took the gear box off and could see that half of my clutch plate had been ground off...
could be getting it back due to a faulty clutch plate hopefully

Did you do the flywheel aswell? Get it machined?
