yeah that's the one Tanshi. Still need to run two batteries. I've seen inside one, it's just a few solenoids wired up to draw 24v on winch in. simple. that unit also incldues a sweet in dash winch control panel as well. it's a good quality product.

I agree that 44:1 can pull a zook no worries, but when you;re stuck in the deepest darkest parts of the otways in west victoria in knee deep mud and ruts following a patrol on 37" treps heading up hill and you keep diffing out and you can't turn around... 44:1 won't cut it...i reckon even on 24v.

I don't know what the mud is like in otways, or any of victoria for that matter but I know I've followed many patrols and cruisers on 37" treps up hills, through swamps and other mud up here and it does cut it for me. Fast. The only time I had the winch working very hard, almost to the point of stalling, was winching up a rock face halfway up the windscreen and my front recovery hooks had dug into a ledge in the rock. Flat or up hill was never ever a problem when there wasn't rocks bigger than the car in the way.

Remember that when running 24V your torque is doubled, which is the same as running 88:1 in the winch pulling torque wise but just running twice the speed.

They say that one is for use with a bowmotor. Will the runva motor run ok at 24 v without melting down?

I just install pretty light 6000 and i can say is perfect. 450mm wide. If it is over 6000 then is 540mm. So decided to stay in this 450mm class. Got also with wireless so if in water, dont need to worry about how to plug in that long wire. ^_^

My Runva arrived the day after I ordered it. Just got to make the mounting plate and front bar. Cant wait to test it out.

No idea with that switch but depending on how you set it up, there's no reason the alt can't still be charging the primary battery when you're winching in and the second battery connected at 24v.

If you have a wiring diagram for the switch it will be pretty easy to work out.
