Hi guys, I have a question or two regarding steering dampners. Do the NT and WT use the same part number, and also, do they happen to be the same as the normal shocks used in the suspension? I'm asking as I have a NT and WT both in need of a new damper, and thought I could just buy a pair of shocks of they were the same. I'm assuming the calving would be 50/50 for the steering dampner but I'm not sure if normal suspension shocks are valves the same.
Thanks for your input

NT and WT will be the same. AFAIK Steering dampeners are designed to run horizontal and shocks are not.

steering dampers would also have the same damping force weather being compressed or extended (ie turning left or right) so you dont feel any differences.
Normal shock absorbers do not, they are different in compression or extension.
So nope no good, just buy 2 steering dampers. (if they are indeed the same)

I don't think it would make any difference. Cheapest you can find that perhaps is a "brand". I took my steering damper off my NT for fun, didn't really notice much difference at all for normal driving. Never tried it off road without it, but i can't imagine its very different. If i was buying one today I might go for this one. 50bucks, can't go wrong. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Suzuki-Sierr ... 566474079c
