got some minor surface ruse that needs to be dealt with, what would be the best way to tackle it, i think i will have to bog one spot but what would be the best way to tackle it?

If its surface, sand it back and repaint it.. if it neds bog its more than surface... in that case, cut it out and weld in a new section

Also if it's just surface rust, once you've removed all loose rusty material treat it with rust deactivator before painting, plan to let it penetrate and dry for 24 hours before painting.
