Just one more question to anyone clued up on Qld rules...a body lift would be helpful but apparently you can't body lift a car with airbags. Is that correct, or do you just need it mod plated?

Approved Persons (authorised under the K3 code) are permitted to approve the fitment of spacer body blocks
under the K3 code. Once the modification meets all the requirements below and all vehicle components
operate in a correct and safe manner, a modification plate indicating the K3 code must be affixed to the vehicle
and a modification certificate completed. The modification certificate must provide details that a body lift
modification has been performed to the vehicle.

Thanks heaps, I have tried to read through all the info on Qld Transport about the different codes etc but it just doesn't seem to definitively say whether airbags are ok or not.

Is it a definite no?

Or does it just require a mod plate?

The airbag funcionality is not impaired by a bodylift.

I only put the bumpstops in to help the shocks out, i worked out where the shocks hit and manufactured stops to come on a wee bit before my shock did

Jumping in late, I run the 3" jimny bits kit and love it.
I get scrubbing with 30's - havE jimny bits front arms.

My arb bar had to be chopped and I still get some scrub.
I have 40mm extended bumpstops in the rear.

I'll get flamed but thinking of a 1" body lift to get a tad more clearance.
