I was also considering the 235 bighorne maxxis but didnt relaise it needs engineering.

Any thoughts on a decent 2" lift kit?

but steve i would be hard pressed to find a big enough difference from standard to 215's that would worry me into an ealry miscarriage.
while this isnt meant to be offenseive to anyone, but there are too many micheal shcumachers here who would notice the most minor change

With the m15a and 31s my car hasn had a drama in sand yet tho I'm usually in 2wd if the need arrives for low range there's isn't a problem the gearing is awesome in sand. Most hill climbs I do in high 4 as u can keep momentum expscially where we drive. For rock crawling it's definitely to high but u get used to it after a while
I will be addressing my gearing to give a better low range but I like to drive fast so high range won't be getting changed a massive amount.

Im looking at going the 31" option, cutting is not a drama but where do they scrub? on the edge of the gaurd or on the belly of it? looking at 15x7 with a -16m offset rim, landrover defender wheel flares, 31" tyres.

Ive only got standard gearing and engine at the moment

Standard guards with 31s will probably scrub everywhere but the lower edge is always the worst scrubbing point
