hi the alternator on my sierra 1 liter isnt the best struggles to keep up with everything and im wanting to upgrade it to a higher amperage alternator i know this whole alternator thing has been said millions of times but nothing really on the 1 liters my concern is that being a 1 liter it isnt that powerful so a 110amp would probably make it even slower so i was thinking about something like a 75 amp or something like that whats there to do on the 1 liters with an alternator upgrade as they also have an external reg what wires do you need to wire up ect. pic would also help alot to
Welcome to the forum BowDown. As you're new, you're probably not familiar with the F10A engine. It has a completely different dimensioned alternator to the G series engines and is externally regulated, not internally regulated like most later Japanese alternators. The Falcon Upgrade won't work on a 1 litre or LJ engine.
Shannon, there's not much available in the way of an upgrade. Early Datsuns and Corollas had a similar electrical systems to the F10A and I would be looking at something like that for a cheap replacement, but there's nothing much over the stock 40 amps.
