Congratulations on being selected for Auszookers Zook Owner of the Month!

How does it feel being honoured with the nomination for Z.O.O.M. 2016?

Suprised, I just chuck stuff in my build thread more to keep a record for myself. Sometimes you forget other people actually take the time to look through the builds.

So tell us about yourself. Who are you, What's the meaning to your username, Where do you live, and what do you do for a living?

Most people call me mick, the user name is just my dogs name Mr Rocky who spends alot of time in the shed with me. I live about 20 mins north of perth and do office fitout and gyprock work mostly in the cbd.

How did you get started in Suzuki's & how many have you owned?

I brought a fj45 landcruiser with a 5.8 v8 and went out 4x4ing with a mate in his zook which at the time i though was a hairdressers car until it drove everything and more the cruisers and patrols couldnt drive.
Ive owned 2 vitaras, 1 carry ute, 1 800cc hatch, 1 lj80, 1 lj50, 5 maruti lwbs, 3 suzuki lwbs, 2 wt sierra hardtops, 5 wt soft top sierras

How long did it take you to build your zook to what it is today?

To be honest i had most of the stuff ready to go when i purchased the car with 100,000km on it from a caryard 4 years ago. Its been in its current setup minus the colour change for 3 years at least. Being a daily its never been off the road for more than a couple of months at a time

Any changes in store for your Suzuki?

I would love to armour up the rear end a bit so i dont destroy the new paint straight away. Also im not happy with the shock locations but other than that just racking up trail time.

What has been your best modification?

Definately the 1.6ltr baleno motor and 5spd replacing the 1ltr 4spd

What has been your worse modification?

None on this car but shoving an sr20 into the last one was an epic regret

If you could have anybody else's zook, who's would it be and why?

I would definately say the blue 4dr sierra, it looked really well done and enough room for the whole family.

What has been your best 4wding trip?

I really do love the augusta to wapole stretch of forest, lakes, beaches, rivers and coastline, i could spend months down there.

If you could go to any place in the world to wheel, where would that be?

probably costa rica or indonesia, i really like the rainforest terrain and the raw challenges those guys have to overcome.

Who are you closest to in the auszooker's community?

birko82 (rossco) is probably my main wheel mate on here.

Tell us what the wheeling is like in your area?

Dusty and crowded haha. We have managed to find a few secret tracks close to town but the less said about them the better.

What other toys/hobbies do you put a lot of time into?

I have an 87 f250 on 37"s thats eating alot of time to setup as a tourer.
Other than that having a bub and keeping the missus happy soaks up any free time.

What is it about the auszookers that brings you back for more?

Just good honest tech and vintage members that cut to the point.

What about the auszookers forum would you like to see changed?

Things are good as they are carry on.

Now for the million dollar question, who do you select to be the next Z.O.O.M. & why?

Hi All,

Thank you Mr Rocky on an interesting ZOOM !

Scrawn, I just wanted to cast my vote as a regular reader, can we fix the photos as they are an integral part and I agree with Josh?

Thanks in advance

Considering he couldn't even submit his own when he was nominated I don't think that's a good idea.
