Congratulations on being selected for Auszookers Zook Owner of the Month!

How does it feel being honoured with the nomination for Z.O.O.M. 2017?

Pretty awesome, I’ve always wanted to be nominated.

So tell us about yourself. Who are you, What's the meaning to your username, Where do you live, and what do you do for a living?

My Names Jamie Williams and I live in Burnie Tasmania. I have been engaged to my Fiancé Daneika for a few years now and as I write this we are 9 weeks away from having our first Baby!

I work in IT for the Department of Education Tasmania covering 4 schools and managing their ICT and outside of work I am a 2nd Dan Rhee Tae Kwon-Do Instructor and train 4 nights a week. My other hobbies include: Fishing, Camping, 4WDing and Fitness.

My Username is something my Mum used to call me when I was a kid my middles name is Kenneth so my first 2 initials are JK.

How did you get started in Suzuki's & how many have you owned?
I’ve Owned 2.
Back when I lived in Queenstown my Dad brought home the chassis of an LJ80 which he built into a bit of a buggy for my brother and I to drive around the yard.

It wasn’t until years later when I first got my job and was looking to buy my first car that I found the Jimny. To be honest back then I had not really considered a Zook until Dad gave me a brochure one night he picked up from our Suzuki Dealer, next thing I know we are signing papers and driving it out of the show room.

How long did it take you to build your zook to what it is today?

I got the Zook brand new in 2008 so 9 years.

Any changes in store for your Suzuki?

There’s always changes in store.
With the Baby on the way the Zook will become more a weekender for 4WDing and not so much daily driving.
Things I would like to do in the future are:

31’s and the AZ Guard Chop
Rock Sliders and a Rear Bar

What has been your best modification?

My Best Modification will always be the M18A swap.

What has been your worst modification?

My rear storage, only because I’ve rebuilt it 4 or 5 times now.

If you could have anybody else's zook, who's would it be and why?

Seriously so many to choose from but there is actually 2 I would love to own and one I’ve been in.

The first one belonging to jonno_racing – That thing will go absolutely anywhere
The second being zooks4life’s 2011 GV such a great tourer.

What has been your best 4wding trip?

My trip with 4WD a few years ago is pretty high on the list but our Tassie Suzuki Group TasZooks did the Magnet mine track here last Dec. This was my favourite trip because we had such a variety of capable and stock zooks and we had a blast.

If you could go to any place in the world to wheel, where would that be?

Being a Tassie Boy Cape York has always appealed to me as the must do for 4WDing and I hope to get the zook there one day.

Who are you closest to in the auszooker's community?

jonno_racing cause he’s down here in Tas and we both are involved with TasZooks but also ZukeNutter as Paul has been one of those Zook legends that has interacted with me and providing advice ever since I first joined AZ all those years ago.

What other toys/hobbies do you put a lot of time into?

As I said before I’m heavily into Fitness/ weights etc and Rhee Tae Kwon-Do, I also have a 415 Savage Bay Cruiser so like to get out fishing when I can and I’m a bit of a tech head so love new gadgets.

Was into RC Rock Crawling for a while with jonno_racing and have a SCX10 Jeep Cherokee, CC01 FJ Cruiser and also one of the Tamiya Jimnys.

What is it about the auszookers that brings you back for more?

The wealth of information, unlike Facebook Groups the information in AZ does not get lost over time and once written is there for everyone to reference. I probably read more on AZ these days than I post.

What about the auszookers forum would you like to see changed?

Changed nothing, improved: I’d love to see the Forum as active as it was when I first joined.

Now for the million dollar question, who do you select to be the next Z.O.O.M. & why?

jonno_racing he’s had some mad builds.

Well done mate.
I've been a keen follower of your Jimny build for many years.

Congrats on the ZOOM and great write up.
