I have a 94 efi jlx vit and i feel like its running rich, really smelling and shit fuel economy. Any advice on where to start not that cliey with engines. Cheers legends

Are you getting a check engine light?
You seem to have more than one problem (i.e you’re also reporting a transmission shift issues) and I suspect they’re related. Check ignition timing.
Check fuel pressure
Download a copy of the FSM.
