Everything has breathers and hose on it already. Just extend the hoses. No need to drill and tap anything.
:O you sure? is this for all vitaras? I thought they just had some pressure caps on a spring, what size are the hoses if anyone knows? & will I need an imperial or metric tap & die set to do the diff breathers?
X2 for Gwagen's response.
Have a look under your car.
The rear diff breather is easily visible - look for a hose that goes into the top of the diff - it goes into a hard line directly above it and ends up behind one of the taillights with a breather cap
Ditto for the front diff breather - it should (most probably don't) end up hanging to the top radiator hose via a clip with a breather cap.
On mine the gearbox & transfer breathers are visible from the driver's side of the tunnel - they tee together near the clutch lever and extend maybe 6" after that with a common breather cap.
From memory the rear diff breather hose (needs to be extended after a lift) is 8mm. I used auto fluid hose. Maybe check the other hoses for size?
A metric tap and die set is IMO an invaluable addition to an automotive tool kit but isn't needed for this job.
