the shim in pic 1 , to add preload , is not available as genuine suzuki part , it is an aftermarket part only. It would only be used to repair something that is very worn on the king pin , or swivel hub seal housing.

the shim in pic 2 , is available in genuine and aftermarket . It is only listed for lj and sj sierra applications , not in jimny .(although will fit)

So after a week of no wobble it had gradually come back so I went and sourced some shims. On test driving it all is good again.

Royce and Steknig I've not been able to find any spec on preloading the King Pins and nobody wants to volunteer there thoughts on the weight for testing so I've had to go the trial and error option. I've installed a 6 thou shim to each KP. I've measured the resistance with a fishing scale for future reference and will see how it goes. There was no binding or notchy feel while pivoting the hub back and forth.

Wobble is gone again. No I haven't replaced any control arm bushes, I'll get to them eventually but the fact that the wobble is gone again reinforces my belief that it's more to to with the KPs and maybe also from the wheel bearings. Passenger side definitely needs to be replaced. Another thing I'll get to.
