What is the part called- It connects the dizzy cap( and points) to the engine through a manifold of some type?

The reason I ask is that my 93 sierra is running bad after not being started for a year and now the engine oil is leaking from the bottom bolt of this part.
If not its my head and I really hope not!
Thanks in advance for any help!!!

That is a really, really, really bad description but I think you mean the distributor housing.

It is a 1993 sierra so I am assuming it is a 1300, if so the housing is held on by 3 bolts and has an "O" ring seal.

If it is a 1 litre (maruti) then the housing is held on by 3 bolts and has a gasket seal.

This will not account for your engine running bad but can account for oil leaks.

Did ya put it back with the rotor button pointing the right way? Or just stick it back in...

Take the dizzy out, turn the engine by hand to Top Dead Centre on number 1, put the dizzy back in so the rotor faces the number one lead.
