Does anyone know if you can adjust a sierra clutch without
having to pull it apart?
The land rovers can be adjusted from outside the housing.
(sorry, had to mention those other types of 4x4)

yep easy as, on the drivers side of the gearbox is the big arm that operates the throwout bearing, on the end of the cable there is an adjuster nut, loosening will make the clutch 'bite' lower down the pedal, tightening will make it higher.

just be careful you dont go to tight, you need some freeplay in that arm so the throwout bearing doesnt burn out

we might have to get some virtual kitty litter so all those landrover words dont leak oil over the forum

sounds like tech to me.
you can also buy new cables from ebay for $40 if yours is too stretched to get good adjustment out of.
has anyone tried the non-genuine cables? are they ok? is it much more expensive for genuine?

I had a non genuine one in my 1 litre and was no problem, I would reckon it would cost $40 for the packaging for a genuine one
