I just put a set of King Springs in my Vitara, hoping they would lift it a tad (which they did nicely), and correct the slight drop in height on the rear drivers side. Whilst the car is now 40 mm higher all-round, the rear drivers side is still hanging around 50 mm lower than the opposite side.

Now, I assume I need some new rear shocks right? And if so, can anyone recommend some cheap ones that will bolt straight in??

Are the rear springs the same lenght? Also check your tyre pressures are the same. I had a 30mm lean and 20mm of that lean was from one tyre been on 7psi :lol:

shocks wont effect ride height unless they're that short they are at full extension on level ground.

Did you check the springs tag for drivers side and passengers side? Start looking at the car not suspension if the same lean still exists....

they dont have a tag on the kings springs they are the same length mine was slightly lower on drivers side as well even with the calmini in it sits slightly lower on the drivers side but it is only 10mm on mine so i haven't worried about it.

you shouldn't measure from the ground you should measure from the hub or lip on the rim.

As usual, awsome info given!

Just went out and parked on flat concrete, noticed instantly the right rear side was only down 10 mm- then got out the tyre gauge and seen it was 18 psi, and the other side was 28 psi. So problem solved when I crank a bit of air back in it :wink:
