anyone got some suggestions for some half decent sierra shocks for a 2inch spring lifted sierra? for the rallycrapper zook. or would the normal commodore/hilux shocks still be ok fast stuff?

OME N76 shocks are designed for Baja 1000 VW buggies so would be a good shock but mounts will need work to make them fit.

the commodore shock in the front might be a bit "soft" in std for high speed work. maybe see if you can get some lowered shocks as most of the time they are a bit "harder" than std

I had Tellaflow and Boge shocks in my hardtop, they were the shocks that came with the original suzisport 2" kit

the tellaflows are adjustable and both seemed to work pretty well, used to be able to get them from the Suspension place in Petrie behind the mower shop but I dunno if they are even still there

I think the big factor would be fade, though the stages arent long are they?

oh and make sure they cant bottom out, otherwise they will be stuffed

Steve, most of the guys we know are running Pro Comp or Koni, Matt started with a tight budget so ran OME Hilux shocks in the front with the "stealth" mount modification and long travel OME's Suzuki shocks in the rear. This combination seemed really good till he went to Koni's which were noticeably better. As Royce said whatevr you use make sure they are not going to bottom out, you will be pushing housing hard into bump stops every event.

I think N76's will to too soft for a car built for speed.

Just my 2C. I love N76's, but they're not intended for a short travel/leaf high speed application. VW's are torsion bar.

if the zook is leaf sprung, and will weigh about the same as a stock zook, i.e around 1000-1200 kg's the N76 will be fine. yes,it is built for longer than normal travel, but it will not be affected by short travel leaf suspension, its killer will be the wrong weight application.
